Business of Fashion, known as BoF, or the go to business platform for all the need to know in the fashion industry, partnered with Lyst to run reports on the most shopped products of 2017. The collage below are the items.
Our thoughts on trends or what is trending is a topic we are questioned about often by our clients. We generally sum it up by saying we do not particularly believe in the trends. With social media now, audiences are loyal to what they seek out to read and get their knowledge from. Be it fashion, politics, best travel spots, crypto currency investments, etc. Who you trust is who you are going to follow. There for with social media platforms there are endless amounts of people with their own opinions, can swap in for the word “favorable interests of the moment” aka trends. The below items however was worthy of sharing because it says quite a lot. It is based on statistics, which numbers will never lie, and these were the results for the most shopped product. Now being immersed in the industry I know every single one of these products is over $300, majority of them, bold, loud, and something that does in deed have an expiration date. Majority of people whom we saw wearing these products were the “It Girls” of the streets. AKA your Haddid Duo, jet setting influencers and musicians. It will never fail that pop culture will in fact have a major impact trickling down from designer to fast fashion and all the moderately prices goodness in between, but at Art of Style we believe in purposeful wardrobes. Before you take a look at our take on the items ( or totally feel free to skip to the #AoSapproved goods ) check out and shop the most shopped items of 2017.

Purposeful Wardrobes with a trend twist
We believe in clothing that of course makes you feel current, but in a timeless essence. When you get dressed you feel like the best version of yourself and you are not gong to be questioning your outfit all day as a result in the confidence of your purchase. However we do adore the excitement of a style gaining traction in the market and when we find it at a price point that feels comfortable for a couple years of wear we are happy to dive in. The balance of a wardrobe is number one only purchasing items that fit you well and make you feel better than before you had it on. Number 2, being able to envision the purchase multiple places or ways to rock the new item. Number 3, Having a strong foundational wardrobe of basics and understanding your personal style and what you are trying to non verbally communicate.
